Blue Man Birthday

Yes, please!
August is a special month around these parts.  A great many of my fellow performers are born this month, usually under the sign of Leo.  I guess it's true that Leos are just drawn to entertaining.  One of my roommates had a birthday Aug. 20th (the same day as my Mother Darling), and to celebrate, we had dinner at a local restaurant called Sake, then enjoyed the Blue Man Group at Universal!

Soft shell crab & hamachi rolls

Tempura friend strawberries a la mode
Sake was quite good.  I definitely will have their soft shell crab roll again.  The sauce was just the right amount of salty and sweet.  And the tempura strawberries were just enough!  What a fun night.  Good food, good friends,  and freaky looking guys covered in blue paint making futuristic music.
Fun with the Blue Man Band (I made that name up)!
August Birthday fun isn't over just yet.  We're having a sport-themed bash to celebrate everyone born this month.  It's an annual thing, and it's always amazing!  I'll bring you guys the good stuff as soon as it happens!

Have you ever seen Blue Man Group?  What's your favorite thing to do for a birthday?

Happy Birthday, Leos!

Can you believe it's already August?  This year is in a hurry and is not having any slowdowns! In honor of my mom's birthday, I'd like to take a moment and celebrate some folks born in the 8th month.
Sam Worthington, (August 2) I am so thankful for your birth!  I'm glad you were born so that I can look at you while I sit through 2+ hours of Christian Bale grunting in Terminator.  Your hotness helped me not get a headache during my two 3D viewings of Avatar, and I really appreciated your wardrobe in Clash of the Titans.  Amen.
Oh, Whitney.  I'm so glad you were born (August 9)!  I celebrate you for your formerly incredible voice, your amazing wigs, and for making sure I stay away from drugs.
Because, duh.  You're Madonna (August 16).
And finally, I celebrate you, Rupert Grint (August 24).  Thanks for having that ridiculous name.  Thanks for being a ginger.  Thanks for being Harry Potter's BFF.  You rule, and I salute you.

Wait wait wait!  I almost forgot the King of Pop (August 29)!  For shame!  Michael, thanks for being born into your crazy family, and not into a normal one that might have let you have a good childhood.  Without your psycho dad, we might never have had hits like "Thriller" or "Dancin' Machine."  I'll miss your ever changing face, your high speaking voice, your music.  Being on stage with you was one of the highlights of my life.

Happy birthday to all you Leos/ August Babies!  Happy birthday, Mom!
